In the Beginning: How Intergenerational Trauma and Traumatic Childhood Attachment Impact the Healing Journey
(recorded webinar)

Through the lens of a nurse/therapist survivor, this presentation will be an interactive exploration of the connection between intergenerational trauma (IGT), traumatic childhood attachment (TCA) and the impact these experiences have on the healing journey of the trauma survivor. Supported by academic research, the concepts of IGT and TCA, the connections between adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s), risk-taking behaviors, symptoms associated with complex trauma/PTSD, grief reactions, chronic illness, relationship stress, and the role addictions play in the lived experience of trauma survivors will be reviewed. Re-balancing of the mind/body/soul will be explored through guided meditation, breathing exercises, music, and the creation of a personalized mind/body/soul healing plan.
